Skating with Erin Wolfkiel in LA

In 2011, I met Erin Wolfkiel at Camp Woodward ( a skateboard camp in Pennsylvania) and made this video below of her explaining the current state of female skateboarding at the time. This past week I skated with her in LA and we discussed how much has changed since we shot the video. Yes, there are more skateboarders competing and it is now normalized at skateparks, but we still constantly have to prove ourselves at the skateparks to be taken seriously.

Check out Erin’s massive airs at Venice Beach skatepark or her skating around LA in this music video!

Our Pals over at Quell Skateboarding Just Published a Comprehensive Skateboard Buying Guide

“Buying your first setup is a huge milestone in your journey into skating. We often get asked what parts are required to set up a board and know how daunting it can be to step foot into uncharted territory. We put these thoughts into words to help expand your knowledge of the board. We’ll be posting a follow up about setting up the board once you’ve acquired all the parts.” — JOHNNA ARTIS for Quell Skateboarding

And of course they gave us a little shoutout!
